International astronomers said that they have found a habitable planet outside the solar system with the temperature that could support the water and life on the earth about 22 light years from Earth.
The team of astronomers analyzed the data from the European Southern Observatory about a star known as GJ 667C, which is known as M class dwarf stars.
According to astronomers, there are three planets that are orbiting close to the star and one of them is so close to the star. It is close enough to absorb the incoming light and energy like Earth.
The planet GJ 6676C orbits its star every 28 days. It means that its every year is equal to one month at Earth. Its mass is 4.5 times less than Earth.
“This planet is the new best candidate to support liquid water and, perhaps, life as we know it,” said Guillem Anglada Escude who conduct the research.
Well the theory for the presence of water is not confirmed yet.
