Nokia has announced Lumia 900 on 09 January, 2012. Its a phone that looks much like the Lumia 800 but is a bit bigger is size. It is expected to be open for pre-booking by the end of March. It also has some features better than Lumia 800. So, without further ado, I’d like to discuss about the features of Lumia 900.
Lumia 900:
- Form factor: Touch bar/Slate
- Memory: Internal: 16GB internal memory with 512MB RAM, External: None (i.e. there is no memory card slot)
- Display: 4.3inch AMOLED multi-touch capacitive touch screen with gorilla glass protection. Clear black display ensures better readability under direct sunlight
- Camera: Primary: 8MP Carl Zeiss lenses with auto-focus and dual flash with geo-tagging Secondary: 1.3MP VGA
- TechSpecs: OS: Windows 7.5 (Mango) Sensors: eAccelerometer, eCompass, proximity sensor, 3-axis Gyroscope (for motion-sensing and auto-rotation), ambient light sensor (adjusts screen brightness according to the surrounding light), A-GPS support included CPU: 1.4 GHz
- Colours available: Cyan and Black
- Nothing much about the price and official launch date is yet notified by Nokia. But experts estimate the price to be around Rs. 35,000 to Rs. 40,000
How will Lumia 900 be better than Lumia 800?
1. Lumia 900 has 4.3inch display which is bigger than Lumia 800’s 3.7inch. 2. The Nokia Lumia 900 has a front facing VGA camera which is not there in Lumia 800. So you can say that there will be video calling in this phone.
3. There is NFC in Lumia 900 that is absent in Lumia 800. So one can have better file transfer experience.
4. The size of Lumia 900 is bigger but it is still compact in size.
5. Lumia 900 has an upgraded version of microUSB (ie v2.0 H.S.) that means there will be added 60mbps more bandwidth for file transfer.
6. The battery life is pretty much better.
7. Lumia 900 has 5 more hours of music playback than Lumia 800.
Thus, as anticipated by Lumia enthusiasts, Lumia 900 will come with better features.
I have added every information I could about Lumia 900. In case if you would like to add more, you can always do so via your valuable comments. Hope you have enjoyed the read!

@Jacob:
Yes, it is confirmed that there is NFC in Nokia Lumia 900. Absence of an NFC had disappointed Lumia enthusiasts. Nokia has confirmed it.
